They are typically located in the mid-level of the venue and provide the best views of the event. Some have glass panels that can be opened, in order for the spectators to feel closer to and more immersed in the action of the event.

What do you call a woman who has won Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, has been nominated for Golden Globe Awards and Academy Awards? You call her Mary J. Blige, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul. This American down singer-songwriter, rapper, and actress has been dazzling fans across multiple genres and mediums since 1988.
Spending her early years in Atlanta and New York, Blige developed a talent for music as well as the toughness to make it in the business. Getting her first deal in 1988 after a tape of her vocals ended up in front of an executive, Blige was soon working with Sean Combs on her first album, “What’s the 411?” and established herself in the industry. The album peaked reached #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200.
Mary J. Blige’s second album, “My Life”, was another commercial success. In fact, Rolling Stone magazine has listed it as number 279 on the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and Time magazine included it on the 100 greatest albums of all-time list.
Teaming up with artists such as Notorious BIG, Faith Evans, Babyface, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Foxy Brown and more, Mary J. Blige had hit it big. Releasing the album “Share My World” in 1997, Blige saw her album debut at number one on the Billboard 200. More collaborations with Nas, Lil’ Kim, George Benson, and others helped fuel this powerhouse album.
By the early 2000s, Mary J. Blige made hitting number one on the Billboard charts into a routine. Touring with Jay-Z in 2008, she became one of the biggest-selling live hip-hop acts. Continuing to knock it out of the park with her music, Blige decided to add acting to her repertoire. The result is a resume which includes 2017’s Mudbound which earned her multiple awards and even more nominations (including two Academy Awards) and Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy where she plays a main character in Cha-Cha.
From humble beginnings to a music empire, Mary J. Blige has conquered the industry. Dropping her 14th album, “Good Morning Gorgeous” in 2022, Blige is at it again. She was among a handful or hip-hop stars chosen to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. To learn more about the life and career of Mary J. Blige click here.
