New York Giants luxury suites are a hot commodity in the NFL today. Renting a Giants luxury box is sure to impress your most important clients. Purchased for a cost of $500 back in 1925, the late Tim Mara built a franchise with one of the richest histories in league. A family affair since the beginning, Mara’s sons ran the team for many years. In 1991, Robert Tisch purchased a 50% stake in the team. Today, the Mara and Tisch families run the organization, holding true to the same basic principles the organization has always believed – team first.
2007 was a banner year for the New York Giants, as quarterback Eli Manning and defensive end Michael Strahan led the team past the undefeated and heavily favored New England Patriots in one of the most thrilling Super Bowls ever. The Lombardi Trophy was captured again four years later in a rematch with the Patriots. The Mara family is still always in attendance in their Giants suite.
Having won eight NFL championships in their illustrious history, including Super Bowls XXI, XXV, XLII, and XLVI, the nation’s largest city boasts a huge fan base and national market.
That huge fan base has not enjoyed the same level of success in recent years. Since Tom Coughlin’s exit following the 2015, New York has gone through several head coaches, but has yet to find success. Failing to produce more than six wins in a season since 2016, the Giants made some major moves after the 2021 season ended. Changing their thinking entirely, the Giants elected to hire a general manager from outside the organization for the first time since 1979. Joe Schoen takes over the position after several seasons as assistant GM in Buffalo. The G-men are hoping to replicate the success of their in-state neighbors to the north.
Schoen wasted no time in his coaching search, landing on Brian Daboll, the former offensive coordinator for the Bills. He has seen Daboll up close and personal over the last few years and knows what he can bring to this team. The next step would be to put together a squad that can win games.
Though there is talent on the New York roster with Saquan Barkley, Daniel Jones, Sterling Shepard, and Kadarius Toney, there are still a lot of holes to fill. The offensive line has been a mess, throwing off the timing of the passing game, and failing to produce any lanes for the running backs. Defensively, there has been no pass rush and the backfield has played too much soft zone. Schoen will upgrade the roster and Daboll will upgrade the schemes and hold his players accountable.
This is exactly what the fans had been hoping for. Perhaps now the Giants can get back on track. This is a make or break year for Jones. Entering his fourth season under center, Jones still has a lot to prove. Given the right tools at his disposal, can he prove to be the franchise quarterback the organization thought when they drafted him? Only time will tell. One thing is for certain, it’s going to be a wild ride for the New York Giants in 2022.
New York Giants legends include Lawrence Taylor, Michael Strahan, Amani Toomer, Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr., Frank Gifford, Harry Carson, and Phil Simms. For more information and history about the New York Giants click here.
