Dodger Stadium
Bringing baseball to southern California since 1962, Dodger Stadium is located in the Elysian Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. One of the oldest MLB ballparks still in use, Dodger Stadium continues to offer incredible baseball to the LA faithful. In fact, MLB chose this location to be the host for the 2020 MLB All Star Game. Unfortunately, the game did not take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but LA was awarded the game in 2022 as compensation.
While many people may be impressed with the newer venues in baseball, there is nothing quite like taking in a game from an atmosphere that harkens back to a simpler and purer era for America’s pastime.
That said, Dodger Stadium has made many upgrades over the years to modernize the ballpark and stay up to date with the latest innovations and technology surrounding the game. The luxury suites at Dodger Stadium benefit from these upgrades and leave the guests of these amazing suites impressed with how beautiful the experience of a baseball game can be.

Brooklyn, New York was the original home of this team back when it was founded in 1883. The organization tried out a number of different monikers over the years before finally settling on Dodgers in the 1930s. Named after the residents of Brooklyn that constantly would have to dodge the trolley cars, this team would embody that hustle on the baseball diamond.
The year 1947 holds a special place in Dodgers history, as well as for the rest of Major League Baseball, as it was on April 15th of that year that the Brooklyn Dodgers lineup card would insert Jackie Robinson as the first African American player to play in the MLB. Breaking the MLB color barrier was the first domino to fall in a line of barriers in sports and is widely regarded as a key moment in the American Civil Rights movement. Robinson went on to win the first Rookie of the Year award and would win a World Series title with the Dodgers in 1955.
The team would win another title in 1959, behind tremendous pitching from Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale, before leaving Brooklyn for sunny California amid a battle over a new stadium. Making Los Angeles their new home, the Dodgers old New York enemy, the Giants, also made the move, settling in San Francisco. This bitter rivalry continues to this day.
Los Angeles would be good to the Dodgers in those early years as they would add more World Series titles in 1963 and 1965. More NL Pennants would follow, but the Dodgers would not go on to win the Fall Classic again until 1981, led by the pitching efforts of Fernando Valenzuela.
Winners of 24 National League Pennants, the Dodgers had one of their most memorable moments come in the 1988 World Series. This series, against the Oakland Athletics, is best remembered for a home run in game one which would go down in MLB history. Veteran outfielder Kirk Gibson limped to the plate with two bad legs in the bottom of the 9th with two outs as a pinch hitter. Gibson was not even expected to play at all in the series but on this night, with one man on base, he ripped one over the right field wall for a walk off home run. Setting the tone for the series, the Dodgers went on to win in five games.
Dave Roberts serves as skipper in the dugout these days. In his first season, Roberts took a team fraught with injuries to the NLCS. His second and third seasons took LA to the brink of another championship, but both would end in World Series heartbreak. The 2019 team put up a record of 106-56 in the regular season (a franchise best), but were eliminated in the NLDS by the Washington Nationals. However, in the midst of a global pandemic in 2020, things clicked just the right way for this group on the baseball diamond. The Dodgers went 43-17 in the shortened season, winning the NL West and punching their ticket to the postseason.
LA found themselves matching up against the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Wild Card. A quick sweep sent the Brew Crew home and the Dodgers geared up for the NLDS against San Diego. This quick three game series ended in a Dodgers win. The NLCS proved to be more difficult. The Atlanta Braves gave it their all in this series and pushed Los Angeles to the brink. However, LA held on to prevail in the seven game series, reaching the World Series for the third time in four years.
The Tampa Bay Rays came to play and would not go down without a fight. Playing out in a neutral ground stadium at Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX, the Dodgers came out on top in this memorable six game series to earn back the crown as World Series Champions.
Already thinking about the next World Series title, manager Dave Roberts is always working towards bettering this team. His roster is stacked with top talent that begins with Clayton Kershaw. Racking up eight all-star appearances, three NL Cy Young Awards, a Triple Crown in 2011, and NL MVP in 2014 (among other accolades), this threat from the mound scares every batter he faces. He is finally able add the title of World Series champion.
Max Muncy, Justin Turner, and Corey Seager are all looking to repeat as champions with Trea Turner coming over as the new second baseman. This group forms a strong infield anchored by Will Smith and Austin Barnes behind the plate. Having MVPs Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger in the outfield along with AJ Pollock is a solid way to keep the score close.
Behind Kershaw in the rotation is Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, Dustin May, and a host of other hurlers including David Price. Danny Duffy was added at the trade deadline from Kansas City, as was Max Scherzer. Adding this three time Cy Young and three time NL Strike Out Leader to the team is a tremendous blockbuster move sure to make this club event more dangerous. Veteran Cole Hamels has signed on as well. Roberts is intent on making his bullpen stronger to help close out the toughest games. Locking up Corey Knebel to a one year deal to avoid arbitration should go a long way for this group. Veteran Kenley Jansen is an excellent closer, shutting teams down late in the game.
This team is undoubtedly a World Series contender going forward as they look to retain their title. When times get tough, this organization can always look to its past draw inspiration. Fan favorites of this illustrious franchise include Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Duke Snyder, Don Sutton, Fernando Valenzuela, Orel Hersheiser, and Kirk Gibson. Also beloved by Dodgers fans are the legendary announcer Vin Scully and manager Tommy Lasorda. More information about the team can be found by clicking here.
