T-Mobile ParK
Seattle’s T-Mobile Park features a retractable roof that is truly a sight to behold. Opening its doors to the public for each Mariners home game, this venue replaced the original team home, the Kingdome, starting in 1999.
Located in Seattle’s SoDo district, the ballpark is easy to access for all attendees. The retro-modern style of the stadium evokes memories of older venues built specifically for baseball while giving it a modern twist that brings it into the 21st century. From the brick façade outside the venue to the natural grass field with uniquely asymmetrical dimensions to the great city surroundings, T-Mobile Park is a great place to take in a game.
The retractable roof of this stadium ensures that both players and spectators are kept safe from the elements during the frequent Seattle rains. However, it offers the chance to enjoy the sunlight and warm temperatures, whenever possible, by opening the roof.
There are two things that T-Mobile Park does better than anything: comfort and food. Those privileged enough to experience the action of Seattle Mariners baseball from the luxury suites get to combine the two. Amazingly luxurious suite accommodations will make you wish every day features a double header. The catering options available will have you longing to visit the suite even when there is no game to be played.

The Pacific Northwest coastal city of Seattle is home to the MLB’s Mariners. Since the 1977 season, Mariners baseball has permeated the culture and won the hearts of fans. Still dreaming of that elusive first World Series championship, fans return to T-Mobile Park each season in hopes of seeing their beloved team finally hoist baseball’s most coveted trophy.
Members of the American League since their inception into baseball, the Mariners have not yet captured a pennant. They have, however, reached the playoffs four times in their history. They punched their ticket to the postseason three times via an AL West division title (including the 2001 season when they finished with a regular season record of 116-46, tied for the most wins in a single season all-time) and once through a Wild Card berth.
The most famous play in team history came in game five of the 1995 American League Division Series against the New York Yankees. Down 5-4 in the bottom of the 11th inning, Edgar Martinez doubled into left field, scoring Joey Cora and Ken Griffey, Jr. to win the game and the series, sending the Mariners to their first American League Championship Series.
The current lineup is built for offense. First baseman Evan White had an excellent rookie season, winning a Gold Glove Award. Unfortunately, a hip injury has sidelined him for the season and Ty France has stepped in to fill his spot. Other infield starters include Dylan Moore, JP Crawfrd, and Kyle Seager. The outfield features Mitch Haninger, Jarred Kelenic, and Abraham Toro-Hernandez, very reliable guys that are great at tracking down anything deep.
However, the real key for this team will be its pitching prowess. The rotation features Marco Gonzales, Yusei Kikuchi, Logan Gilbert, Tyler Anderson, and Justin Dunn. They will need to command their pitches to keep the games in good standing for the bullpen to come in and finish it out.
While the Mariners, like all teams in baseball, will need a little luck on their side this season, they definitely have the pieces in place to put together a team that can make a strong playoff push. The first World Series appearance and maybe even the first championship may not be too far off. 2020 was a tough year and the club was only able to produce a 27-33 record for third place in the AL West. They are out to prove themselves in 2021 and put all other teams on notice.
There have been many beloved players that have come through Seattle, but the most revered of these players include Edgar Martinez, Ichiro Suzuki, Felix Hernandez, Randy Johnson, Jay Buhner, and the one and only Ken Griffey, Jr. Click here to learn more about the Seattle Mariners franchise.
